Many people get overwhelmed when they consider the prospect of starting a new business. Then there are those who go soaring in full speed ahead with eyes shut! Both kinds of people can be helped by splitting the business building process into 4 distinct components: The Money; the proto type; the industry expert; and the distribution channel.
1. The Money.
Nearly all of us feel like we can't do anything because we don't have the money. The great secret about money is that money is anxious to be where it is useful, safe and well nourished; hence, money is actually the last of the 4 components you might want to seek. If you build a business and have faith in it, the money will naturally follow.
2. The Prototype.
The nearer you are able to move your idea towards a provable concept, the more attractive it will be to money. Anyway, you wouldn't want to devote considerable amounts of time and resources into a project that simply will not sell.
3. The Industry Expert.
Finding an industry expert should be your first step. Too many things come to light when you enter an industry you know nothing about. You need someone on your team who knows the industry and knows the right people.
4. The Distribution Channel.
Tell me this: Why would you ever want to use a bunch of time and cash to develop a surplus of things you will store only to watch them sit in your garage for years? You can avoid this by following this simple advice: If you do not have a buyer and means of distributing your products, do not build them.
Building a new business is terribly simple and easy. We only make the process of making money difficult in our own heads. Use the 4 components and venture safely and happily!
